It was break time at the school, where Fi McFall taught pre-teens to be model citizens, when the call came through - would she sing with the legendary Jesus and Marychain, headlining Brixton Academy that very night?...short notice, but...oh, alright then. A chance singalong, heard through a wall by a Marychain member a few weeks earlier, had unknowingly sown the seed.
Within days of that gig (amazingly, her first ever live show), Fi was fronting indie band "International Jetsetters". With members from the Marychain and Ride, the Jetsetters played venues and festivals from London to New York, with critically acclaimed EP, "Heart is Black" (courtesy of US label 'Planting Seeds Records') receiving worldwide airplay from BBC Radio Oxford to KROQ Los Angeles.
In the spring of 2010, guitarist Mark, made plans to move to the US, and so Fi, and fellow band member Bert, formed their own acoustic project, "Welcome to Peepworld".
Named after a New York porn shop, with songs written for the Jetsetters under their belts, and a fridge full of new material, Peepworld's new acoustic direction worked just fine, when they were signed after their first gig. A live album followed, with gigs and festivals across the UK, and now the duo are recording their debut EP, with a full band, string sections and...a stylophone.
